The problem is that each time Zip Car staff KNEW before my booking about these issues and did not inform me. (5) No gas card and had to pay for gas myself. FOUR TIMES in the last few months I have shown up to a reservation and (1) A flat tire from previous user (2) No gas from previous user (3) Previous user still had car and was one hour away (4) Key was left in a special location inside the car because of a malfunction. In general I am very happy I decided to give Zipcar a go, I will be using it regularly. I have had one car cancellation and not only did customer service offer me an Uber to the next available car, they have also credited me extra to my account (along with my refund) for next car use and for the inconvenience for the car cancellation (due to maintenance).

I have driven a total of 4 times with Zipcar now and have no complaints at all, other than the cars could be cleaner. I also found the app easy to use and did not have issues locking or unlocking the car.

My first driving experience was great, the car was easy to find, plus the honk function helps alot if you cant find your car. The application took a while to process (due to me not informing them of my email address change) once that was done I was charged ВЈ10 and another ВЈ10 (which was used towards credit). Was quite worried of using Zipcar due to the negative reviews however I decided to give it a try.

Would suggest everyone to diligently check the cars mileage before and after taking a round trip where mileage is being recharged, albeit if the software is flawed, potentially people are being charged for less than the included 60 free miles (not that it will help if customer service ignore you as they have me.) Worth to add I did clearly tell Zip Car customer service in email that I would post on Trustpilot, and gave them fair opportunity to resolve the issue. I read other negative comments about customer service, but until now my experience was all good, alas now I am ВЈ30 out of pocket and still no response, amazing what damage poor customer service does to what could be a great offering. I subsequently raised this with customer service, initially exchanging emails and providing the route details I was promised a response within 24-48 hours by Katerina, after waiting 72 Hours I sent another email - no response, a further email was sent two days later - still no response, so I spoke with Penny yesterday who empathised with the situation and raised the case as 'urgent' and promised a response by close of business yesterday.again no response. I know well the distance as its a regular route and further validated against Google Maps. However, my experience has deteriorated very rapidly as I was overcharged for approx 100 miles on a recent round trip. Until last week I was very happy with zip car, having made numerous short trips, positive first impressions.
